Description
Medieval spaulders are pieces of armor which were used to protect the shoulders from blows during medieval combat. They were typically made from metal plates and were held on with leather straps or buckles. They often featured intricate designs reflecting the status of the wearer and were commonly used by knights and other members of the nobility. Some versions also incorporated chain mail or other types of padding for additional protection.
