Description

In medieval times, Shoulder guards, knee and elbow cops were essential components of plate armor, designed to protect the vulnerable joints of knights and soldiers in battle. These pieces, often made of metal, evolved from simpler leather or chainmail defenses to more elaborate steel versions as the need for greater protection increased during the 14th and 15th centuries.
