Description
The Crusader Pot Helmet is a type of early medieval helmet that was popular during the crusades and later during the Hundred Years War. It is also known as a “Great Helm“ or a “Barrel Helm“. It is made from a single sheet of steel and is conical in shape, with a round top and a flat brim. The helmet has a nasal guard and a series of slots for ventilation. It was typically worn over a mail coif and a padded arming cap for added protection. The Crusader Pot Helmet was an effective piece of armor, and its design allowed for a wide field of vision.
